Rolex Daytona 16520 – Series E955XXX (late 1990) – White Panda “Inverted 6” Arabic Numerals Test/Prototype Dial This watch features the prototype dial with Arabic numerals and the famous "nverted 6”, produced exclusively between 1990 and 1993 in the 165XX references equipped with the legendary Rolex caliber 4030, itself derived from the famous Zenith El Primero 400. Prototype with Arabic Numerals: Unlike the standard production models, this dial features large applied Arabic numerals, a feature not adopted in series production for the reference 16520. This design was considered but ultimately reserved for precious metal models, such as the white gold reference 16519, which has a similar dial but without the “inverted 6,” as it was launched a few years later around 1997. This rare internal test specimen comes from a retired Rolex employee and is most likely one of the very first dial tests never mounted on the reference 16520, which explains the absence of box and papers.
