Description
The Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox E855 is a historic timepiece, celebrated as the first automatic alarm watch with a calendar function. It features the automatic manufacture calibre 825, introduced in 1959 and produced until 1969 with around 67,000 units made.
This model boasts a "bumper" movement, where an automatic oscillating rotor rotates about 270 degrees back and forth, using coiled springs for a distinctive bounce. This edition is the rarer 37mm jumbo version, with a silver dial and steel radium dauphine hands.
The stainless steel case is in superb condition, and both crowns are original and signed. The movement runs smoothly, and the alarm is clear and fully functional, making it a reliable choice for collectors or daily wear with a vintage touch.
