This is an original, extremely rare, and beautifully preserved jumbo 38mm all-steel CYMA chronograph from the 1940s. Housed in a waterproof “clamshell” case (Pat. No. 189190), it is powered by a manual winding calibre Cyma 400L based on Valjoux 22. The original radium dial is in great condition for its age, showing characteristic even spotting that has developed into a lovely crème brûlée patina over eight decades. The radium lume is still present on the dial and hour hand (the minute hand trough is bare, original radium lost over time). The watch is paired with a NOS vintage leather strap and an original, extremely rare Swiss steel buckle (same as for Patek Philippe) to complete the look. A true collector's piece.
