This beautiful and extremely rare Ebauches SA (ESA/ETA) regatta prototype represents a unique piece of watchmaking history. Powered by the legendary column wheel movement Valjoux 728, it was the first regatta movement with a center-positioned minute chronograph counter.

Produced in a limited series for only one year in 1971, the Valjoux 728 is one of the rarest Valjoux movements ever made. During this period, this model was commercialized by Certina under the name Chronolympic Regatta.

Ebauches SA, founded in Neuchâtel in 1926, specialized in designing Swiss movements and watch prototypes for various brands before becoming ETA SA Fabrique d’Ebauches in 1985.
